Letympou,
Paphos Villages

Letympou has a population of 290 and is approximately 12kms from Paphos and 25kms from Polis.
There are many churches in this pretty little village but the most noteworthy is the one of Agios Kyrikos and Agia Ioulitti which was built in the 15th century. Go inside the church and be impressed by the preserved paintings on the walls.
Being a small village, it has only one taverna, four coffee shops and a small minimarket.

In the village square there is an oil press, a restored fountain and the Heroes Monument, adding to the flavour of the village.

The now disused quarry at Letympou are used to produce marble slabs for the floors of the traditional houses.
The nearest school is in Polemi and the nearest police station is in Stroumpi. The closest hospital is in Paphos but a doctor does make a weekly visit to the village.
You can’t see the sea from Letympou but there are superb mountain views.
The nearest fishing spot is at Evretou Dam and the nearest golf course is at Tsada.
